Help Center
Detailed guides for navigating Quill, preparing projects, translating, collaborating, and managing your workspace.
Start
- Getting started
Set up the right workspace, create a project, add source material, and move into translation with the correct language and security boundaries.
- Dashboard
Review notices, messages, assigned work, issues, progress, and organization resources, then open the item that needs attention.
- Projects
Create and maintain the boundary that groups a job's languages, source files, translation resources, context, collaboration, reports, and settings.
Project assets
- Source & upload
Prepare source or reference files, verify how every sheet will be used, and follow processing through to an Editor-ready file.
- Translation Memory
Organize reusable bilingual segments by target language, control which memories participate, and inspect or exchange their entries.
- Termbase
Maintain multilingual terminology resources, decide which termbase is active and default, and govern term usage across translation work.
- Project settings
Review the project's identity and language configuration, save supported changes, or permanently delete the project when authorized.
Context
- Context resources
Understand how the style guide, scenario, phrasebook, and project knowledge complement one another during translation.
- Style guide
Create and maintain reusable project and target-language writing rules.
- Scenario
Organize source structure and review analyzed entities and relationships by project scope.
- Phrasebook
Manage reusable sentence patterns and review how analyzed source sentences bind to them.
Editor
- Editor header and file controls
Identify the open file, choose which contents to display, open page help and messages, review keyboard shortcuts, and enter the delivery flow from the editor header.
- Translation table and row editing
Learn how to choose the text and language shown in each column, find the rows you need, select an exact work scope, save drafts, and commit completed translations.
- Editor toolbar
Use the toolbar to change workflow state, revise Source text, pre-fill from TM, manage change history, work with tags and references, commit or clear selected Target rows, and change the Editor view.
- Editor sidebar
Use the AI Agent, TM and TB matches, row metadata, and translation history without leaving the row you are reviewing.
- Editor AI Agent
Ask questions about the current file, define exactly which rows may change, and review every proposed rewrite before applying it.
- Preview
Review the translation in a layout close to the source file, edit bound target slots, and understand which preview changes have been saved.
- Metadata editing mode
Edit each source segment's category, subcategory, and tag-presence classification, review the staged set, and apply it as one deliberate update.
- Collaboration, synchronization, and conflicts
Understand editor connection states, work within the supported offline boundary, interpret collaborator focus, and resolve row-and-language conflicts deliberately.
- Editor keyboard shortcuts
Use the shortcuts exposed by the editor to move between target rows, control row selection, confirm text, copy Source text, open change history, insert tags, and revise Source text.
- Deliver work from the Editor
Deliver selected content groups for the active Target language after reviewing committed, locally edited, and not-started rows.
Collaboration
- Collaboration
Coordinate assignments, project questions, member access, and handoffs without separating them from the files and languages where the work happens.
- Assignments and My work
Create delivery batches from exact file versions, assign workflow steps and deadlines, and let each member open their own work in the Editor.
- Issues
Record source questions, target-language findings, comments, replies, resolution, and participant confirmation in threads tied to project content.
- Project members
Control who participates in a project, distinguish workspace-managed access from direct membership, and assign the project role used by collaboration features.
- Reports and quotes
Review saved analysis statistics, export memoQ-compatible CSV data, and create, issue, and download versioned quotes based on project reports.
Account & workspace
- Profile and preferences
Update your account name, display language, appearance, and account lifecycle settings.
- Account security
Manage sign-in methods, passkeys, trusted devices, two-factor authentication, and active sessions.
- Workspace general settings
Review workspace identity and members, manage invitations, and understand leave and deletion actions.
- Billing, credits, and usage
Understand the selected workspace's plan, available credits, usage charges, storage, and payment activity.
- Workspace security
Review and manage organization access, authentication requirements, session trust, and recovery.
- Workspace audit log
Review organization-scoped security and administration activity with filters and event details.
- Business partners
Maintain organization-scoped clients and vendors, their contacts, and language-pair sales or purchase rates for business workflows.
- Business templates
Manage reusable quote layouts and email messages in one organization-scoped library while preserving their different save, default, and deletion behavior.
