Deliver work from the Editor

Deliver selected content groups for the active Target language after reviewing committed, locally edited, and not-started rows.

Commit a row or deliver a content group

Commit
Confirms the current draft or existing text for selected Target rows in the active language. It updates those rows so they can continue through review, but it does not hand off an entire content group.
Deliver
Marks one or more selected content groups as delivered for your current workflow step and active Target language. It is a handoff action performed from the header after row-level work has been reviewed.

When Deliver is available

Deliver is shown in the Editor header but is enabled only when an active Target language has at least one content group assigned to your current workflow step that has not already been delivered. It is unavailable in metadata mode and in views that do not represent a deliverable assigned step.

  • Switching the Target language changes the groups and counts shown in the delivery dialog.
  • Groups already delivered for your current step remain visible for reference but cannot be selected again.
  • If every available group is already delivered, the header action is disabled.

Read the delivery summary

The dialog lists each deliverable content group and summarizes rows for the active Target language. Groups not yet delivered are selected by default.

Translate
Rows whose Target content is committed as translated for the active language.
Edited
Rows with a local draft in this browser. Review and Commit these rows if the draft should be part of the handoff.
Not started
Rows that do not have committed translated content or a local draft for the active language.
Already delivered
The content group has already been handed off for your current step. It is disabled and excluded from a new delivery.

Deliver selected content

  1. In the Target column header, choose the language you intend to deliver. Review and Commit the rows that should be complete.
  2. Choose Deliver in the Editor header. In the dialog, select the content groups to hand off and review their Translate, Edited, and Not started counts.
  3. If any selected group contains Edited or Not started rows, choose Back to cancel the confirmation and finish the rows, or choose Deliver Anyway only when the incomplete handoff is intentional.
  4. Keep the dialog open while delivery is in progress. When the request succeeds, the dialog closes and the delivered workflow state is reflected in the Editor.

After completion: The selected, not-yet-delivered content groups are handed off for your current workflow step and active Target language. They appear as Already delivered if you reopen the dialog for the same step.

When delivery cannot continue

Problem

The Deliver button is disabled.

What to do

Exit metadata mode, select the intended Target language, and confirm that your current assignment has at least one group not already delivered. If no group is assigned to your current step, ask the project manager to review the workflow assignment.

Problem

Deliver changes to Deliver Anyway.

What to do

At least one selected content group contains a local draft or a not-started row. Choose Back, return to the table, and Commit or otherwise resolve those rows. Continue anyway only when the incomplete handoff is expected.

Problem

The delivery dialog has no selectable groups.

What to do

Check whether every listed group says Already delivered and verify the active Target language. If the list does not match your assignment, close the dialog, refresh the Editor, and ask the project manager to confirm the assigned workflow step.
