Assignments and My work

Create delivery batches from exact file versions, assign workflow steps and deadlines, and let each member open their own work in the Editor.

Open Assignments or My work

Open a project and choose Assignments from the project sidebar. Members with assignment-management access can switch between My work and Manage in the page header; members without it are taken directly to their own work.

Create and populate a batch

  1. In Manage, select New Batch and give the batch a name. New batches begin as Draft.
  2. Open the batch and add items. Choose the target language and the intended version of each file; the candidate list identifies the latest version and versions already present.
  3. Use version and difference counts to verify the intended scope. New, changed, context-changed, and unchanged counts describe the comparison to the selected base when a comparison base exists.

Assign workflow steps

Add workflows at file level for steps shared across all visible schemas, or expand a schema lane to add steps specific to that schema. The displayed workflow combines shared steps with the schema-specific steps for that lane.

  • Enable each required task step, select one or more project members, and set a date and hour for every selected assignee.
  • If the intended assignee is missing, use Add member from the workflow dialog, then reload the member choices after the person has been added to the project.

Work from My work and read progress

My work groups assigned batches as To do, In progress, or Completed. Open a batch, choose a language when needed, and select a row to open that exact file, target language, and comparison base in a new Editor tab.

  • Task chips identify the assigned step and its completion percentage. The table also shows file version, schema when applicable, deadline, and available segment, character, and word counts.
  • Batch and role progress use the counted units belonging to the configured workflow. A zero value can mean that no countable work has been recorded yet; it is not an error by itself.

Batch status and destructive actions

  • Draft is for preparing items and workflows; Active identifies current delivery work; Archived keeps completed or inactive batches outside the active group.
  • Changing a status reorganizes the batch but does not change the selected file version or silently complete its workflow steps.
Draft
The batch can be prepared and checked before it becomes the current delivery work.
Active
The batch represents current work and appears to assigned members in My work.
Archived
The batch is retained separately for completed or inactive work; archiving does not mark unfinished steps complete.
  1. In Manage, create a New Batch and open it.
  2. Add the exact file version and target language, then verify the version and difference counts.
  3. Add shared or schema-specific workflow steps, select assignees, and set each deadline.
  4. Change the batch to Active when members should begin work.

After completion: The active batch appears in each selected assignee's My work with the chosen file, language, task step, and deadline.

Problem

A member is missing from the assignee list.

What to do

Use Add member from the workflow dialog or open Members, add the person to the project, then reopen or refresh the assignee choices.

Problem

A newer upload does not appear in an existing assignment.

What to do

An assignment keeps the version originally selected. Add the newer version explicitly and review whether the older assigned item should remain or be removed.
