Reports and quotes
Review saved analysis statistics, export memoQ-compatible CSV data, and create, issue, and download versioned quotes based on project reports.
Generate and open a report
- In Source, select the translatable files to analyze and open Statistics. Configure repetition binding, homogeneity, repetition precedence, tag counting, and the weighted-count set before starting the analysis.
- When analysis finishes, review the result immediately, download it, or choose View reports. The saved report then appears in the project's Reports list.
Read and export analysis statistics
The list combines statistics reports and quotes and sorts them by time. Select a statistics report to see its target files, report type, generation options, and created time, followed by the language summary and a tab for each target language.
- File analysis shows per-file counts. TM analysis groups content into match buckets, shows totals and weighted values, and displays the language's TM coverage score.
- Copy a visible table when you need its current tabular values, or download CSV for a memoQ-compatible statistics file that preserves the report's selected options and weight set.
Create and edit a quote
- Select a statistics report and choose Create quote. Quill loads the available organization quote templates and business partners; the default template is selected when one is configured.
- Choose the client or a specific contact, template, language, currency, line items, rates, and terms. Reorder the available line items and use the preview to check the document layout and calculated totals.
- Save the quote as a mutable draft. The first save assigns its quote number; later edits retain that number and update the current draft.
Issue and download quote versions
A quote begins as Draft. Choose Issue to create an immutable version snapshot and download its PDF. The detail then shows Issued vNN and keeps an issue-history row with document number, issue time, issuer, recipient, and amount.
- If the current draft is unchanged from the latest issued version, the main action downloads that existing version instead of creating a duplicate.
- If the draft changes, the status shows Changes since vNN and the next Issue action creates the next version. Selecting a history row previews that exact issued snapshot, and its download action regenerates the corresponding PDF.
Interpret status and delete safely
- The Reports list contains completed saved artifacts. A background task that is queued, waiting, running, failed, blocked, paused, or restartable is controlled from its task card; it does not become a completed report merely because some progress is visible.
- A failed task may offer Restart, which creates a new attempt while preserving prior history. Blocked work means a required upstream step failed; it is not silently counted as successful.
- Statistics report
- A completed file or TM analysis with its selected files, options, language totals, and detailed tables.
- Draft quote
- The editable current quote. Saving keeps its quote number while updating recipients, items, rates, terms, and preview.
- Issued version
- A fixed version kept in issue history with its document number, recipient, amount, issuer, and issue time.
- In Source, select the translatable files, open Statistics, configure the analysis options, and start.
- Wait for completion, then choose View reports and open the saved statistics report.
- Check the target files, options, language summary, and each target-language tab before copying a table or downloading CSV.
After completion: The completed report is available in Reports and the exported table or CSV reflects the options saved with that report.
Problem
A running analysis is not in Reports.
What to do
Open its visible task card and wait for successful completion. Reports lists saved completed results, not live progress for queued, waiting, running, paused, blocked, or failed work.
Problem
Create quote has no expected client or template.
What to do
Open the workspace Business area and add or update the Business Partner and Quote Template, then reopen the quote editor. Billing balances do not supply quote clients or templates.
